The Lions Creed
Untold generations of survivors walk with you on life's
road.
You are the living testament to their victory, the end result of thousands of
years of struggle and endeavour.
Never insult or belittle their failures or their successes by
believing yourself to be of less worth than any other.
Others are neither better nor worse than you. They, like you, fight the battles
and suffer the pains of life every day.
Do not hate that which you do not know or understand, endeavour to
broaden your opinions and look to further horizons.
Ambition and tolerance are the weapons with which to arm yourself, honour and
respect your shield. Never let spite consume you or greed overcome you.
Above all else pay honour to your friends, honour to your family and
honour to yourself. This is the greatest respect you can pay your
forebears.
